The NHL’s digital advertising division is moving forward with its plans to open an NHL.TV service, according to a company representative.
The company is developing a digital platform to allow fans to watch and interact with the game in real time and engage with its content, according the representative.
A formal announcement is expected by the end of the year.
The NHL announced last month that it would start offering NHL.ca, the NHL.me, NHL Sportsnet, and NHL app.
The new digital channels will launch in the fall, with additional channels planned in the years ahead.
The league previously said that it planned to roll out a free app on Android devices for its fans, but it has since released a statement saying it’s looking to move forward with a free, subscription service.
